Frequently Ask Questions
1. Are these cells safe and "Halal"/Ethical?
Yes. These cells are ethically sourced from the umbilical cords of healthy, full-term births (usually via elective C-section) with full parental consent. They are “adult” stem cells, not embryonic, so there is no ethical or religious controversy. In Malaysia, these cells are processed in certified labs that follow strict KKM and NPRA guidelines to ensure they are free from any infectious diseases like Hepatitis or HIV.
2. Does the procedure hurt?
No. One of the biggest advantages of our approach is that it is non-surgical and virtually painless.
Because we use Umbilical Cord Wharton’s Jelly (UC-WJ), we do not need to perform an invasive “harvesting” procedure on you. In older stem cell methods, doctors have to drill into your hip bone (bone marrow aspiration) or perform liposuction (fat extraction), both of which can be quite painful and require a long recovery.
3. Can my body reject these cells?
Wharton’s Jelly MSCs are “immune-privileged.” They do not express the markers that typically trigger an immune rejection. This means they can be used “off-the-shelf” for different patients without the need for blood-type matching, and the risk of a negative immune reaction is extremely low.
4. How long until I see a difference?
Every patient is different, but generally:
Week 1-2: Reduced inflammation (less pain and stiffness).
Month 3-6: This is the “Repair Phase” where the most significant tissue regeneration happens.
Most of our Malaysian patients return to their normal activities (like brisk walking or golf) within a few weeks, but the full biological benefit peaks at 6 months.
5. Is this treatment approved by KKM (Ministry of Health)?
We operate under strict compliance with the Malaysian Guidelines for Stem Cell Research and Therapy. Our lab partners are certified, and the procedures are performed by LCP-licensed doctors (Letter of Credentialing and Privileging). While stem cell therapy for wellness and joints is considered “investigational” globally, we ensure all our protocols meet the safety standards required by the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA).
6. Can i go back to work the next day?
Yes, for most office-based or “desk” jobs. Because we use Wharton’s Jelly, there is no surgical wound on your body to heal. You don’t have the pain associated with “drilling” into the bone or liposuction.
The “Same-Day” Rule: You can typically drive yourself home and resume light activities immediately.
The 48-Hour Rest: While you can work, we recommend avoiding “heavy” physical stress for the first 48 hours. If your job involves a lot of walking, standing, or lifting (e.g., retail, site visits, or manufacturing), we suggest taking 1–2 days of rest or requesting light duties.
The “No Heavy Loading” Rule: Even if you feel great, you must avoid the gym, heavy lifting (above 5kg), and high-impact sports (like badminton or jogging) for at least 2 weeks. This allows the cells to stay concentrated in the treated area without being “squeezed out” by intense pressure.
7. Do you offer installment plans?
Yes, we offer several ways to make this affordable for Malaysian families:
Credit Card EPP (Easy Payment Plan): We support 0% interest installment plans for 6, 12, or 24 months with major Malaysian banks (MBB, PBB, CIMB, etc.).
EPF (KWSP) Inquiries: While current KWSP rules for “Account 2” withdrawals are strict, some patients use their HSA or Personal Medical Savings to cover costs.
E-Wallet & Local Apps: We accept Atome or GrabPay Later for smaller treatment packages, allowing you to split the cost into 3 or 4 months.
